Thanks, Scn! I recall speaking with a protester in the past, in PDX, who works with Red Cross, who also recounted a first-hand tale of the Vultures in New York after 9/11 with scorn. Some people do, and some people take credit. Go Fig.

My heart hurts for Haiti, and my anger burns for Scientology.
The story of the abandoned medical mission only increases my determination.
My insides churn and my mind's gears turn.
The arrogance and evil of this corporation cannot be allowed to increase the devastation.

We need to get this story out. Unperfekt, are you at all able to talk to the news crews about any of this?

Back in the day, Carmichael was an Executive in Portland. This, of course, was when Portland was in Affluence, and before the mission, Org, and Celebrity Centre were all merged into the shoddy rented office space we now know and love.

Travolta's an idiot. If past examples of Scn's incompetence during disasters is any indication, I suspect they'll find new and novel ways to FAIL in Haiti.

You need well-resourced professionals and fully kitted-out logistics systems like Mercy Corps and the Red Cross at catastrophic disasters, not a bunch of inexperienced VMs that have shit for organization.

The thing that pisses me off is that they find people there, give 'em some book to read, and bring them back on visas designed for clergy, and then use them as slave labor.

I do not feel upset towards the individuals, but I do feel upset with the management that hocked them off to an earthquake-tattered country without a) proper ability to take care of themselves, and b) the proper ability to truly help the very people they gave their time to help and c) the management goal of doing it for PR rather than betterment of any individual or group in need (in contradiction to their stated purpose.)
